What we have built in
Current features confirmed in the application include:
- a skip link to move directly to the main content;
- keyboard-accessible navigation and controls;
- visible focus styles for interactive elements;
- dark navy text and strong colour contrast across core page styles;
- semantic page landmarks, headings and labelled form fields;
- alternative text for meaningful images and hidden labels for decorative images;
- responsive layouts designed to work on mobile and desktop without horizontal scrolling;
- clear loading, empty, error and status messages in key journeys.
Current limitations
Grand Days Out is an early-stage private beta and has not yet had a formal independent accessibility audit. We therefore do not claim full conformance with a particular version or level of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
Some longer planning and editorial journeys contain dense information and complex controls that may need further testing with different screen readers, magnification settings and voice-control tools. Information supplied by venues about their own accessibility may also change and should be confirmed directly where it is important to your visit.
